We NEED YOUR HELP
H.B. 653 has made it out of committee, and is soon headed to the house floor. This is a HUGE opportunity to make major steps forward with 9-1-1 funding for Missouri. But we can't do it without you.
We need some help on next Monday(4-15) or Tuesday (4-16) in Jefferson City
to help push for 9-1-1 Legislation.......... the lead lobbyist for the
9-1-1 effort would like to get some folks into Jeff City to help lobby.
Either Monday (starting at 3 pm and lasting about 4-5 hours) or Tuesday
(starting at 0830 and lasting about 4-5 hours). We will likely send folks
around in teams of 2-3. You will be seeking to visit with legislators
.....most likely not your own......legislators who have not been contacted
before or may have questions now that HB 653 is moving and is being taken
more seriously. We will brief folks before they start out, talking points
etc.
What we need are some folks to commit the day to come and help make that
visible presence to show support for the 9-1-1 legislation, from the real
world. If you can attend, please RSVP to Lisa Schlottach at
gasc911@fidnet.com*so she has a count of attendees.
Also, go to the MONENA website and download this form letter, or write a personalized letter to YOUR representative telling them how important this bill is to 9-1-1 in Missouri. We CAN'T continue to go underfunded, our citizens and visitors in this state deserve better, but we need YOUR help to get it moving forward.
