MISSOURI CHAPTER OF NENA

ENP study groups available

For 911 professionals looking to prepare for the Emergency Number Professional (ENP) examination, there is no better way than to participate in a study group. Participants will be better prepared for the ENP exam by increasing their general knowledge on telephone, radio, PSAP infrastructure, technology and human resource issues. Participants will also gain an understanding of the concept and purpose of NG9-1-1 and will be given a sample test.

WHAT IS AN ENP????

An Emergency Number Professional (ENP) is a certification process in which an individual must meet certain criteria before applying to sit for the test.

ENP Certification is a tool of the National Emergency Number Association (NENA) to establish the benchmarks of performance that signifies a broad-based competence in the professional field. By successfully completing this certification program, ENP's have:

* Demonstrated a mastery of the comprehensive knowledge base required for emergency number program management.

* Helped to raise industry standards and increase the respect and prestige of those involved in 911.

* Confirmed their commitment to the 9-1-1 profession by showing themselves to be leaders in public safety and pledging themselves to stay aware of current issues and developments in the field.
