We are the Voice of 911 in Missouri!

MONENA is the Missouri Chapter of the National Emergency Number Association (NENA), whose slogan is, "One Nation - One Number." MONENA has been in existence since 1986, and is comprised of individuals who deliver 911 services throughout the state of Missouri. MONENA has over 500 members, who come from approximately 80 Missouri counties, municipalities, and organizations that are involved in providing 911 services.

​MoNENA's 40th Anniversary Challenge Coin- Design Contest
We have exciting news!  The Missouri chapter of NENA’s 40th anniversary will be in 2026 and so we decided to commemorate this with a challenge coin but need your help. The front side of the coin will be the MoNENA logo and the back will include a design that is made by one of you fabulous members. 
Design Contest:
We invite all MoNENA members to show your pride and dedication to public safety by submitting the design for the back side of the challenge coin.        
Submission Rules:  
  • All artwork must be original. Submissions that are not original artwork will be disqualified (copyrighted images, computer graphics, etc.).
  • You may use as many colors as you want, but all colors must be solid, no shading or color gradients.
  • The coin will be 2” in size. All artwork must fit within the provided template. Anything outside the circle will be excluded from the design.
  • All submissions must be in the format of a PDF, JPG, PNG, or GIF.
  • All submissions must include full name of the designer, title, agency name, email and phone number.
  • Only MoNENA members may submit designs.
  • You can work in groups. All participants must be identified.
  • The designs will be judged by a group of MoNENA board members.
  • All designs must be submitted via email to [email protected].
Deadline:
The deadline to submit a design is Monday, January 12th, 2026.
Prize Winner: 
The winning designer will receive bragging rights that YOU designed the coin representing MoNENA and our 40th anniversary and will also receive one of the very first challenge coins.

9-1-1 at the missouri state fair

​The Missouri State Fair was August 7-17, 2025 in Sedalia. Volunteers were able to make connect with thousands of people to help educate on 911. For several  years, Public Safety Communications Professionals from around the state have volunteered their time to work the 911 educational booth.  Contact Saralyn Hayes at [email protected] if you are interested in being involved.
