9-1-1 Day At the Capitol
January 25, 2011
Representatives from MONENA, MOAPCO, and MO911 Directors Association met with numerous state Legislators to discuss Wireless 9-1-1 Legislation. Currently Missouri is the only state in the nation that does not have legislation that allows a 9-1-1 service fee on wireless phones. This event was part of a campaign to educate citizens and lawmakers alike on the very real danger that 9-1-1 communication centers face of closure from this lack of funding.
